Started the month off with a fireworks store, guess I'll end it with one. Not intentional though, it was the best angle I could get of the "CHRISTMAS INN" hotel. Been passing by that sign and a big ass dragon behind it for quite some time now. Pulled off on the exit thinking I was gonna be able to take some good pictures of the old hotel and it's sign. It's gated up and apparently ready for demolition though. Just an unusual name for a hotel and the sign is an old school humongous one. Not sure who would wanna spend Christmas in a hotel like that? Guess not many people and that's why it's closed.
As you see I'm on the road as I type this. The southern portion of my amusement park tour is on hold until the fall. I have worn myself out.

I hate throwing away photos and don't like to reuse them so I never do. The shit up above is pictures I used on twitter over the last 9 months. They're in no particular order. Was suppose to do this at the end of May, but I put it off because looking at all the snapshots on my desktop had me feeling overwhelmed. I'm dumping them here in my blog so they'll be "forever". Muhfuckas be tweetin' pics, uploading them to facebook and puttin' shit up in clouds and you never know when it'll get erased because you don't control the shit. I know, it happen to my first tweets a few years ago. Not gonna get this behind again. I'll probably dump any pictures I use on twitter in the blog every month for now on.

When I show people offline my snapshots, the first question I usually get is "How did you shoot that while driving?" Years of practice and the fact that I drive with my Canon in my lap helps too. The second I see something interesting, I've already got the camera pointing at it.

Then I decided to take a photo of the "notel" I used almost 20 years ago when I was a teenager bangin' prostitutes. Like I said yesterday hittin' all the shit I never thought to blog before I moved. It looked so nice and clean back then and still looks like it doesn't even belong in the hood it's in. Never looked like a sleazy hooker hotel.

Go back and look at the entry on March 3, 2010 and then the entry on April 24th of this year. Yep, that's the same spot. See how fast that little house that I bought almost 5 years ago has been fucked up. The block looks like it's been hit by a bomb. I swear to you there were beautiful solid brick homes that barely needed any work just sitting there. I'd tell people about them in other states that I know and they'd say, "Oh I'd just get a big dog and no one would fuck with anything." lol hahaha. If only shit was that easy.

Speaking of playing music. I snapped that road sign photo up above driving south. Believe it or not I know how to play that tune on piano. How? Why? Well, because of that casio keyboard I bought back in grade school. Wanted the SK-1, but it was sold out everywhere so I settled for the punkass pt-87. Instead of being able to sample sounds, I had to keep playing the bullshit that came on the prerecorded rom. The song called "old folks at home" is actually the Suwannee River tune. Played those songs by the lighted keys until I despised hearing them and finally tossed the keyboard into storage.

So yeah, after walking through the museum listening to orchestra music, I couldn't wait to get to my old violin. Hadn't picked it up in years and just wanted to see if I could still do anything with it. The answer is barely. The instrument is 30 years old. Should be tuned and the bow needs rosin. I swear most of the teachers I had back in the day were good as hell. Or maybe I was just a good learner. Lookin' back now those muhfuckas had style too. Probably weren't too much older than I am right now. For our music instruments teachers we had a man and a woman. They were husband & wife and looked like muhfuckas straight off a 50's TV show. It was the mid 1980's and she'd always have on a neat 2 piece dress, he'd be rocking a suit, skinny tie and big black frame glasses. Shit they taught is still stuck in my head. I remember the damn plucking exercise we were made to do. And how fucked up my fingers would feel. Always thought that maybe if I had chosen a "wind" instrument such as the saxophone or some other horn like all the other little boys, I would've kept playing. At least until High School. Couldn't help from going against the grain back then like now. As the only 11 year old boy in a room full of giggling white girls, that shit got old real fast. Playing at the school concerts having everyone watch and listen was the worst. I look back and laugh at how much I hated that shit now. Like everything I do though I stuck it out, became a BELOW average player and stuffed this muhfucka into storage after elementary school. I had only chose to play that violin because I was under the impression that learning it would turn me into a guitarist.

As I tweeted a few weeks ago, spent a little time in the Detroit Institute of Arts this month. Just doing shit that I didn't think to blog about until moving away from the "D". Gonna go back in the fall just to show one of the apple orchards I've done for so many years. Also plan on hitting Bronners which is said to be the largest xmas store in the world to shop for my holiday decorations this year. But anywayz, Whenever I walk into a museum and this one in particular, I feel like I'm getting over. Kinda like when I'm shooting porn. For a few measely bucks, I get to be entertained by amazing shit and walk away with knowledge that I didn't have before entering. No flash photography is allowed so I just snapped pictures of some of the better lit items. Better than no cameras allowed at all like most museums.

I have a thing about not showing EVERYTHING I shot when I go somewhere. If I did it or saw it, I want everyone else to see it. So as I get outta Illinois, here's a few shots left on my camera. That turkey taco and fries taste a lot better than it looks.

And finally the main destination. 6 Flags Great America. Not gonna even lie, it was 99 degrees outside so all I really wanted was to sit in that chair with my cup filled with soda and do the waterslides. Was there though, so as usual I got on everything. Had a great time.

Not trying to make this a Chicago tour. I've been here too many times and even shown you Chi-town in this blog before. But it's the 3rd largest city in the country and it's on the way to 6 flags, so why not spend a day just enjoying the scenery? Got on the train on top. See the Willis center in that picture. Well see the rest of the photos.

A little black history. Love seeing historic markers all over the city. Chicago does it right.

Anyone that played little league baseball in the summer with me would've been so pleased to just be able to practice in the shadows of tiger stadium. With the freshly raked sand and the markings, it looks like some kids in Chicago actually play games here where U.S. Cellular field is in the horizon.

As you can see, keepin' it midwest right now. I think I've mentioned in this blog before that I didn't think it was possible to have a better summer than the ones I had as a child. Shit like Mississippi, Louisiana and then at the end of summer, Toronto to shop for school clothes. Hate to say that I might have been wrong. Those summers are "outdoable" I've been raising the bar. Gonna be real hard to top this one. And I ain't done yet. It's only July.

From a Drive inn to a Drive thru party store. Seen a few of these in Florida, there's a chain called farm stores. Maybe it's me but I just think these kinda joints are odd. You can even drive thru and buy alcoholic beverages.

|
I honestly think there's more old school Drive-Inns left in the country that people know. Seen one in Ft. Lauderdale and Atlanta. Of course there's the one I shot a photo of in Detroit too. Everywhere I go there's at least 1 still around.

Boblo Island ain't around anymore so I couldn't have started my amusement park tour at a better place than Cedar Point. Believe it or not midwesterners, a lot of people in other parts of the country and world haven't even heard of this place. Located in Sandusky, Ohio. About 2 hours from Detroit and an hour from Cleveland. I remember while away at college, Cedar Point would recruit students. They would choose to live and work in Sandusky for the summer at the park. I thought they were crazy. A few hours in Ohio and I'm good. But a lot of muhfuckas would tell me that they'd rather be there than back in the hood until school started back. When I looked at the workers there today, they all look so young. More proof I'm an old man now. I've lost count how many times I've been to Cedar Point, but this is actually the first time I've taken photos there. I rarely shot photos of anything I did before starting the .com 10 years ago and this blog, 5 years ago. But pictures ain't even all that important when you have the memories that last forever. A senior trip in High School was there and I've taken countless dates to "the point".

Yeah, I'm the dude that gets on every single ride in the park. If you're with me, I drag you on every single ride too. Swear to God my camera bag fell out the car and was hanging down for a few seconds while I was on "blue streak". Had the bag been unzipped, my shit would've been in pieces down below.

Nah, this ain't the local carnival that comes to town with friendly prices. Cedar Point makes a killing with their high prices everyday. Bottled WATER is $3.50, souvenirs and the "games of skill" where you can do like I did years ago. Fucked around and blew $100 just to win a $10 stuffed yellow Tweety bird for my girlfriend.
July 12, 2011

|
And oh yeah, more fast food. Anytime I spot a Dairy Queen(DQ) grill & chill, I stop. Happen to notice that this one is owned by Cedar Point. They make money off of all kinds of shit. I guess that's the key to its long success.

Was pleasantly surprised to see Pinks at Cedar Point. When I was out west, I'd stop at the OG one all the time. Until now, I had actually thought that was the only place you could get them. See November 13, 2009.

Now listen, I'm in my late 30's. I ain't suppose to be good anymore. But 20 something years ago ya boy did play some freshman basketball. Varsity football and baseball. I bring this up because recently I was at my old elementary school park where I learned how to play 30 something years ago. Decided to film myself "trying" to move like I did when I was a teenager. Because I don't really enjoy playing anymore. Haven't since I was in my early 20's. I'm sure A lot of muhfuckas be thinkin' I can't ball because I don't. WRONG! The only reason I ain't hoop beyond 9th grade in High School is because no one under 6ft5 could make the JV and varsity teams. The whole squad was on their way to Division 1 college ball and some to the NBA. I wasn't even gonna be able to play at a community college but I've never been a scrub. I'm an old man now but when I got competition I rise to the occasion and can take out most muthafuckas at anything I'm doin'. There's just a lot of shit I don't enjoy doing anymore.

People that know me and probably you too say "Why you always takin' pictures of your food?" I say, "Because I want to dammit. Don't act like I'm the only one. I've been on dates where bitches snap and text people." I do it for the blog. Believe it or not this was my first time having Culvers. Been just passing by this Madison Heights, Mi. location for the longest time. Had a real good mushroom and swiss triple butterburger. Biting into it I kept thinking how thankful I am that there are so many new things out there for me to enjoy. Some of yall might not understand this, but I'm the kinda cat that has to be kept stimulated with new shit. I don't rush to do or try certain things because I like to have it to look forward to.

Yeah, you know I like my Georgia peaches. Delicious. About 5 of them equal a pound. So yeah, exactly! 5 peaches for $1.

And KFC is far from my favorite "fast" chicken joints. But I can't deny the fascination I've had for the KFC story since I first saw it on a food show a while ago. That story all started in the area I was in today. Corbin, Kentucky. I took the pictures above of the Kentucky Fried Chicken Museum while I sipped pepsi and nibbled on a honey barbeque snacker from the $5 meal.

Editing the last pieces of brand new video shot in April that'll eventually go up in the members area of the .com I gotta tell you, it's so boring to me now. Amazing how I'm noticing that I stopped at the perfect time for more reasons than I had originally thought. The thrill is comepletely gone. I still enjoy looking at those foulfowl videos, but can't even imagine being out filming scenes anymore. I think When you do so much of anything, you're bound to get tired of it. It's like on to the next shit now. I'm feeling good about putting all my energy into Chic-Chick and CHICKwithaCOCK. I guarantee muhfuckas that those 2 websites will be better over the next few years than FoulFowl ever was. I've learned so much and more importantly, I'm hyped up about blowing those joints up. My only concern about those 2 sites is people understanding that they weren't designed to be GLAMOROUS. I pride myself in "Straight off the Street" REALNESS. Just like the .com that started everything for me. I kept it so real that muhfuckas actually think the bitches on the .com were the only hoes I could get. Because I take photos and video of dudes that like to dress up as women on CHICKwithaCOCK I gotta be gay. They've criticized the hair, the feet of the girls I shoot for Chic-Chick. Even the furniture or lack of it in the background. Sometimes I be thinkin' niggaz are gay and strange for noticing too much. People don't wanna see titties & ass on a cute bitch if her weave tracks are showing? No one clicks on CHICKwithaCOCK to be nosey? Lol, I know the truth so as I upload the last foulfowl shit into the members area, I'm excited about the things I'm about to do on the other sites.

Driving back down to Miami and I stopped to get gas in some small town and I was in shock watching old folks drive around in golf carts like they were in real cars. Some of them looked like they probably couldn't even walk if they got out of those carts.
