Thanksgiving Day 2008. I decided to hit "America's Parade" up. It was a beautiful day on Woodward Avenue. As a matter of fact, the 40 degree weather was the warmest on Thanksgiving Day that I can ever remember. With the early first snow that we had a few weeks ago, I was thinking by this time, it was gonna be snow on the ground and record low temperatures. It seems like the parade shrinks every year, while the crowd grows. But maybe it's just me though. I'm actually sitting up typing this update at 4am on 11/28, watching "The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade" on NBC. It's a rebroadcast from earlier. It looks huge, I'm gonna have to hit that one up one year. The video below(when I feel putting it up) is the DTE(Detroit's Energy company) float. I kinda wanted to throw shit at those mothafuckas. lol, I used to have such a hard time paying those mothafuckas. Not to mention dealing with their fucked up customer service. Buuut, they never did shut my lights off. I will give them that.

I'm guessing that the first ILOVESODA.com customer has already received and consumed his bottle of Faygo Rock & Rye. I'm sure it didn't take anymore than a week to ship to France. A lot of Americans don't realize just how much attention Europeans and Asians pay to the things we do here in America. I think about 35% of my pornsite members are outside of the U.S.A. Anywayz, the fact that I sold my first bottle of Soda, Pop or Fizzy(whatever you wanna it) through this blog is more satisfying than anything else. I love yall for clicking in here. I'm still working on the actual site, but in the meantime if anyone else out there wants some Detroit soda, feel free to contact me.

On the bus a few weeks ago, heading to down eight mile road, on my way to the chrome shop. I see this cat grabbing everyones attention. At first I thought something was wrong with homie. Shit, he still might be off. But I was just so in awe at how the whole bus had gotten unusually quiet, and most people were listening to him. I took my headphones off, turned on my camera which was hidden in my pocket. Anyone that can grasp the attention of a group of complete strangers on a bus impresses me. He said he's in the process of trying to build him a church and I believe he'll get it done.

Alright, I'm not trying to be a cheap-gas chaser with the back to back gas pictures, but this is getting real interesting to me. I'm wondering how low it will go. I can't pass by a gas station without checking the prices. They've dropped 20 cents in less than a week. Right now, I'm seeing petro prices that I haven't seen since the last century.

Shit, fuck flying. If anyone is planning on going out of town on Thanksgiving and you haven't bought an airline tickets yet. You might as well Just fill up the tank with some of the cheap gas in the area and drive. flip back to my July 17th entry. See How high it had gotten just 4 months ago. Hell, right now gas is at 1998 prices. and don't trip on the brand, because gas is gas. Shit, as a matter of fact, yall might wanna go cop you one of the many marked down petro guzzling SUV's that the car companies couldn't sale when the gas was high.

Out grocery shopping over the weekend. And all I wanna know is who the fuck buys this nasty shit. Not too many foods have ever made me sick. But I still remember as a little boy eating this shit once in elementary school because I had seen other children packing it in their lunch. As with grape MD 20/20(I'm pretty sure I told yall that story before) I relive the illness everytime I even smell it.

Man, I had hoped to be outta here by the time this had happened. But as you can see it's on top of the leaves. I don't usually expect the snow to start falling in Michigan until around thanksgiving. So it's a couple of weeks off. Hell, the snow caught a lot of mothafuckas off guard this morning. The road crews weren't ready and I couldn't believe all the accidents I saw on my way to the 9 to 5. I can kinda sit back and dig it though. For a few weeks anyways, cause I know by the time those overnight lows of 15 degrees and the winter storms start striking, I'll be relaxing in heat. Shit, this last month, it's been a struggle not to jump on a plane for a lil weekend getaway. I almost broke down and flew to Miami this past weekend. I've been trying to let my money stack though, cause all winter is gonna be a getaway for me. I'm thinking I'll bounce from the "D" sometime between Thanksgiving and the 2nd week of December.

I couldn't resist copping this thing a few days ago. After playing with it for a day now, I see why it's the most advanced phone on the market right now. I also see why it's priced so cheaply compared to others. The G1, built by HTC a chinese company that has pretty much been putting out hot phones for a few years now has done it again. They created the pocket pc and dash that was so popular before the iphone came out. The G1 actually replaces my iPhone. It runs the brand new Android operating system that google created. It allows external memory which the iphone doesnt. It has a 3 megapixel camera compared to my OG iPhones 1 mp. The G1 has a physical keypad, a trackball as well as a touchscreen. You all know the iPhone only has a screen. I can download shit directly to my G1 without having to fuck with itunes like the iPhone. And that was probably the biggest gripe I had with apple. Unfortunately, the build quality of this G1 just ain't as solid as the iPhone. it feels like a cheap plastic. The screen isn't as large or clear as the iPhone and my G1 doesn't allow you to type letters on the touchscreen, just the keyboard. The build quality and the cheaper screen obviously afford T-mobile the ability to price it much lower than you would expect a phone that does so much. my iPhone feels luxurious in my hands, while the G1 feels like a cheap TV remote. Regardelss, I'm loving the google streetview maps and the android store is awesome. The barcode scanner which is a free app(as of now they all are) is my favorie so far. I'm probably gonna be holding onto this celly for a year like I did my iPhone. I don't see anything better in the pipeline yet. That blackberry Storm that is scheduled for release next month will be nothing but an iPhone knockoff. The next big thing in my opinion will be what motorola does with the phone they're working on to run android. They say it should be in stores about this time next year. Their sales are so bad. They haven't had a hit since the original Razr 4 years ago. it'll be do or die for them.

I'ma spare yall from all the drag you've heard. I voted today, like I did every single mothafuckin' chance I've had to since I turned 18. I do it, cause back at Dewey and Pepper elementary school in Oak Park, Michigan we were taught well. When I was 7 years old, sitting in class with other blacks, and whites we watched them old films on projectors. You know, the reels they used before VCRs, DVDs or Blue ray. They were films of whites spraying blacks during the civil rights movement with water hoses. Everybody in that classroom was uncomfortable. We also saw images on those ol' skool slides of blacks being turned away from the voting polls. That shit was etched into our little minds. How could I not take an hour out of my day to do something that was so precious to so many before me. Yeah, I voted for Barack Obama. No, his great, great grandparents didn't break from the chains of slavery, his grandparents didn't fight for their right to vote. But He's a BLACK man and he grew up Black in America. I've heard better speakers than Obama before. Black and White. I've heard people with better ideas than Obama, black and white. But they're not running. Even if they were, with the awesome campaign(You'll never see another one like it) that Obama ran, I still probably would have voted for him. He is definitely a great man. And I have the feeling that he is going to do amazing things. So make no mistake Barack Obama is the change that this country needs. In my honest opinion(if you don't agree, so what), the greatest thing Obama will do for this country is to be the ultimate male role model for a lot of young black men that have had no male figures to look up to. Secondly he will show the WORLD that Black men can do more than just dribble a ball or sing into a microphone. I mean because we all know that the President of the U.S. is just a figurehead anyways, right? Nonetheless, As I watch the confirmations come in on all the News channels, I can see that this is truly an extraordinary time in American history. All the world leaders are calling in giving there congrats. I, like a lot of other folks can't wait to be in D.C. January 20, 2009 to be present at the presidential inaugural ceremonies. It'll be cold as a mothafucka, but I won't dare miss that the way I missed the million man march back in 1995.

Now before I actually pull out the scissors, I wanna tell people why I'm "not" cutting them off. I want it to be understood that it's not a spur of the moment thing. I started growing my locks 5 years ago to this month. I started growing them simply because I was so relaxed and confident in myself that I felt like "fuck a barbershop". I didn't have to conform to anything so I just grew my hair as I pleased. I had just gotten suspended from my 9 to 5 for the third time in 2 months because I had to goto a series of "mandatory" court dates. It was simply: Goto court, or goto jail. What would you had done? I chose to goto court and handle my business. I mean the court stuff took like 3 hours. I would show up at work before lunch. But even with a letter to my employer from the judges, I ended up with a disciplinary lay-off without pay for 30 days. It wasn't even the money thing that turned me against them, cause I was making money through my porn site. It was just the fucked up attitude that management had about my situation at the time. So While being suspended during Thanksgiving 2003 through Christmas 2003(those assholes), I started twisting away. I knew that having just one suspension guaranteed that a brotha would never get promoted. I had 3 suspensions, so at that point in my career, I was gonna do just enough to stay employed there. And I swear to god, that's all I've been doing for the last 5 years. I haven't been suspended since then, Just wrongfully terminated in 2006, but I came back and I'm still doing the bare minimum. Now I had attempted to grow dreads once before in 1994. I was in college and at that time I figured I might as well grow them then, while I didn't have to deal with the corporate world looking down on me for having them. Well, that lasted for about 6 months. I got tired of sitting in class twisting my hair while trying to take notes. So one saturday afternoon, I chopped off the 6 months worth of growth. That night, while partying at a club in Big Rapids called "Alibi"(not sure if it's stil there) bitches started walking up to me asking why I cut off all my hair. I kept hearing the same question all week in class. Now here it is 2008, and sometime this month, I'm offing the dreads. You'll see a dreadless JohnJuan and then I'll tell yall why I did it here first. In the meantime, Here's the list of why I'm "not" doing it:
1. I'm not going to a job interiew(I'll never work for someone else again)
2. I'm not trying to get a promotion, fuck my 9 to 5 I'm still trying to "leave" before the first snow
3. I'm not joining the army, navy, airforce, marines or any other armed force
4. I'm not losing my hair(it's been thin for years now)
5. I'm not looking for a new look lol, hahaha
6. I'm not getting married(maybe when I'm 65 if I can find a hot 30 year old bitch then)
7. I'm not going in front of a judge(I've been off probation for years now)
8. I'm not trying to disguise my appearance
9. It's definitely not a religious thing
10. and I didn't lose a bet.

Ok, I've had
FoulFowl.com going for 7 years now. FoulFowl.net for 2 years.
Chic-Chick.com and
EUROPOON.com have been up and running for 6 months.
Blackvaginafinder.TV has been there but in limbo for 2 months now. But I'm working it as well as (Blackvaginafinder.net). As we enter November, I got some spare time to put my 2 1/2 year old soda plan in motion. I'm sure you see those bottles up above. A lot of yall reading this in different parts of the world have never tasted a Faygo Pop. Most people even here in the U.S. haven't had one of those glass bottled 6 original flavors. They're made with real sugar cane. Deeeelicious....You're curious, aren't you. You want one? For now you can give me a call or email me at the address on top of the blog. I'll ship them free to your doorstep for $2.50 a POP(pun intended). In a few days you'll be able to buy them directly from
ILOVESODA.com. Right now I'm still building it. Now You won't see plain Coca-Cola or Pepsi there, but I'll have hand-picked obscure sodas from all over the world available. It's cool to be able to start off slangin' a unique drink from my hometown.
Click here to see and read my Faygo entry from last year.
