Well, I ran into more glitches. Towed my ride out the shop, but I still have a lot to do with it over the next 2 weeks. I'm telling yall, I'll never ever think about fucking with another old school car. Too many problems, and the parts drain your pockets. After fucking with this caddy for so long, the small shit I'm doing to my mustang over the winter is gonna be a piece of cake. I'm seriously thinking about calling into the J>O>B tommorrow, there's the Free Detroit Grand PRiX events..I repeat FREE but I know I only got about a month and a half left to be working, and I'm trying to stack every easy penny I can(I'm thinking about using my September paycheck to blow on a trip to Brasil). I ain't rich. Shit, after the Clippers season tickets, the airline tickets to Cali in 3 weeks plus the Lions/San Fran tickets. I'm broke as hell right now. Not to mention, I'm kinda thinking about hitting the Lions/Atlanta Falcons game next week. Then there's a free Jazz Festival in the "D" this weekend(free but food and beverages ain't), There's a festival right outside of the city. Arts, Beats and Eats. Chaka Khan will be there. A lot of shit poppin off. I may or may not take my camera to do an entry for yall if I hit them up.

So yeah, I get a call from the catz at the shop that are working on my caddy while I'm at my 9 to 5 this morning. They tell me that they give up. Said that their old car specialist ran off with some tools and cash was also they're mechanic. So I rush down there after work, and on the way I see Kid Rock shooting a new video(there ain't nothing like Detroit backdrops for films). I grabbed my camera and yelled out "Yodlin' in the valley", some old school shit. It seems like yesterday, I was in highschool riding in one of the whiteboys cars listening to Kid Rock and Esham...he laughed and threw the peace sign at me. I couldn't hang around to see what was goin' on like I wanted to because my mothafuckin bus was coming(Damn this State for not letting me have a drivers license). I get to the shop in Southwest Detroit, and I'm actually quite pleased with how my ride was looking. Now keep in mind, it's dirty and it doesn't have them "Daytonas" or "D's" on it yet. But the esse's really hooked a brotha up. The skirts, door handles and tail light lenses are getting put on tonight. I am missing passenger side trim that I know I had given them, so they had to have lost them but fuck it(I'll find another one on ebay). They're not charging me anything for the incomplete job, so I'm not gonna trip. I would've brought that bitch home tonight, but my neighborhood(Detroit. PERIOD) is so fucked up that I know if I leave it in my yard overnight, it'll be gone in the morning. If not, while I'm at work, they'll surely strip or steal it. THIS IS WHY I WAS TELLING YALL LAST MONTH, AND EARLIER THIS MONTH, I'M CASHING THE FUCK OUT BEFORE THE FIRST SNOW. I could stay in metro Detroit and move way out. But I've been there and done that. When I first Started my .com 7 years ago I was living in a place called Clinton Township, Michigan(Google it). I couldn't stand that place. Michigan is just a hard place period to live good. There's just a lot of bitchassness. If you work hard and happen to get your shit poppin', there's always somebody there waiting to fuck you over. Me, I just put positive energy into the universe and...well, let me get on the phone to find out where I can safely park the ride so I can get it towed in the morning(can't drive it cause the front bumper, grill and headlights ain't on yet). It's getting transported to San Francisco in about 2 weeks. I figured I'll have it 100% by then and can have something to drive around "The TOWN" in when I see the Lions play the 49ers on 09/21. I got some gooooood ass seats. When yall see the photos I take with this Canon, It's gonna look like I'm on the field(then wait until Yall see the view from my L.A. Clippers season ticket seats). After the game, I'll drive it on down to the LBC, park it and fly on back to Detroit. Then 2 weeks after that, I'll ship my mustang and my Harley out there too. Tommorrow, I'll have possession of my caddy, it'll be clean and I'll drop some more photos. PEACE!

Okay, I'm late posting this. The photos were shot a week ago. My internet access has just been so shaky lately. It was the day after the cruise, when shit was more relaxed. I hit the Ford exhibit, mainly just so I could see mustang alley. Look at that beautiful 2000 Cobra R below. It's probably my favorite production car of the last decade. I couldn't afford one in 2000, but when my internet income started dwindling in and with some 9 to 5 cash, I was able to cop a brand new 02 GT in 2002. For the seventh straight year, I was unable to cruise my ride in The Woodward Dream Cruise. If you recall back on May 20th I thought I was days away from having my Caddy completed. At least thats what the dude at the shop told me. here it is exactly 3 months later and my shit is still sitting in that shop with pieces of chrome still not on. I'm giving dude 2 more weeks. But anywayz. I rode past the cruise. I really wasn't in the mood to pull out a lawn chair or walk down woodward. I just took the few snapshots that you see up above. They're actually the first pictures I shot with my new DSLR, so they ain't that great.

Yeah, yall see the video clip above, right? I'm fuckin' with a Digital SLR now. So the quality of everything I do should definitely be improved(when I learn how to use it). Remember me telling yall about my old cameras back on June 26th right? At that time I was satisfied with my current point and shoot shit. But what really made me step my game up is a bitch in hollywood. I was fresh dressed, money in my pocket, you know just feeling real good and confident about myself last month. I saw a model walk past the window I was sitting at in Combos pizza on Hollywood Blvd. I swear to yall, she was giving me that "come get me glance" She was about 5 ft 11, I couldn't tell what nationality she was. All I know is she wasn't black and she wasn't Asian. Pick a fashion magazine, She probably wouldn't make the cover, but this woman could definitely be in that joint wearing somebodys clothes that I can't pronounce. I ran out the door, and said, "Excuse me, but I'm willing to do whatever, and I mean whatever it would take for you to pose for a few photos for me." She smiled at me, and said that she was in a hurry and couldn't really talk right then. but she asked me for my card(which I didn't have so I wrote it on a piece of paper). Ol' girl said, "I'll call you later tonight and let you know." I just knew she was bullshitting me. She stepped off with a walk that was out of this world. I didn't get a call from her that night, but she called the next morning, which was a Saturday. Surprisingly she said she had a client that she was with last night and couldn't get away to use the phone. I asked, what do you do? She said "Coke, X and dominatrix work." I was about to small talk her but She quickly said, "So, you still wanna shoot me?" I said "Of course." Then she asked, "What kind of cameras are you using and where's the studio?" I told her I had a lil kodak camera and that I could grab a room at The Huntington Hotel on Main. She just about dropped her phone laughing. When she picked the phone back up, she said, "Look, I get $2000 a night to beat people up. If you're shooting photos with a kodak, you can't possibly have enough money to fuck with me. And you want me to meet you downtown? Look, you're cute and everything so save my phone # and when you get your shit together, call me back. When she hung up I made up my mind that I was gonna have to tighten up my camera game up and have a rental studio with some time on standby for them upper echelon hoes out there. Later that night I was outside of katsuya, talking to some paparazzi dude on his downtime about his camera. He was like, "BRO, you gotta have the right equipment and sometimes just look the part." It was shot through a dirty windshield. My first time seeing this lil volvo, and I like it. I like it a lot. *update 08/24/08 I'm told this is a European car and is not sold in the U.S.

Speaking of buying domain names, Yall probably still haven't learned yet. Keep thinking I don't know what I'm doing or talking about. Remember last week when NASA "officially" announced that they had found water on the planet Mars and that the soil there was similar to the soil found in Chile? Well, I bought MARTIANWATER.ORG and MARTIANWATER.info Yeah the more lucrative .coms and .nets were already taken but fuck it. More importantly though, I purchased MARTIANPLANT.com, MARTIANPLANTS.com and MarsPlants.com. So when(and trust me they will) find plantlife or plant seeds up on that mothafucka, I'll be ready to sell the plants that they ship back to mother Earth or I'll be willing to sell the Domain name for at least $250,000 a piece. Now excuse me but I gotta finish packing my bags for yet another lil weekend getaway. And oh yeah I'm thinking about buying my first DSLR tommorow. I'm researching different models now on www.DPreview.com I think I'll do one of those unwrapping videos that are popular on the net.

Hey, I'ma be honest with yall. I didn't vote for him, wouldn't vote for him if he ran again, but he's a BLACK MAN. And for any brotha to get treated the way the Mayor of my city is gettin' done ain't right. I'm not gonna write about it. Maybe I'll do a podcast tommorow on my way to the airport. Today, I got my T-shirt mojo back. When a cat told me about the mayor being locked up this morning, I immediately pulled out my iPhone and bought some Domain names. for $6.95 a piece: www.FreeTheMayor.com and www.FreeKwameKilpatrick.com During my lunch break I threw together a website with my Nokia N73 and after work I was designing T-shirts. If you see that powered by "D3Tr01T3R" at the bottom of this blog, that was the first T-shirt I designed a few years ago. I lost interest and put that on the back burner. But now, I got that design fever again. To make a long story short, I've sold 5 shirts and a mug so far tonight. I really should be going to a screen printer in the morning so I could slang them joints locally by the court building and by the county jail, but I gotta be at my 9to5. If I don't sell another shirt, it was well worth it. 1. I found out I could put a site up in 4 hours and 2. I discovered I can use cafepress to test shirt designs out without committing any money to have them made in bulk.

Ahhhh, yes there's nothing like a Seafood Pizza pie in the middle of the week. The toppings included Shrimp and crab meat. YUM! Now if you scroll back to last week, you'll see the Pizza that I had in Chicago. This one from PizzaPapalis not only looks like that one, but the taste is so similar that I'm willing to bet they copied the recipe of the Giordanos Pizza that I had. I've been eating PizzaPapalis pie for years. Their Greektown Detroit location was the place many of my dates in High School and College started. The best Pizza in Detroit.

So here we are, August already. This is that if you haven't done it yet, you better do it fast month. The last full month of Summer. There's a lot of events going on all over the place this weekend. but I'm chillin' this weekend. Its been a minute since I spent a whole weekend sitting on my ass. You see those photos I shot up above? After seeing all the sports sites in Chicago last weekend, I made a decision that I had been considering last year. I'ma buy football and basketball season tickets. The Detroit Lions and the Clippers or the LAkers(if I can get 200 level seats or better). It'll work out perfectly. I'll be doing weekends in Detroit this winter but I'll be out west full time. See, as I've told everyone I personally know, I'm outta Michigan come the first Snow. I'm just tying up loose ends now. The cheap real estate in Detroit isn't enough to keep me and my little 9 to 5 can't even hold me here at this point. "I ain't quitting that gig." though. Hell, you wouldn't either. I Just went and got a complete physical this week(doctor said I could probably lose a few pounds), got my teeth worked on(3 cavities filled) the week before and next week I'll be going to an optometrist to get my lense perscription updated. I have glasses but don't really need to wear them unless I'm in above 200 level seats at a sporting event. lol(I'm just going cause it free and I want some Cartiers). I haven't paid one red cent for any of that medical shit. Benefits, Benefits, Benefits. You take them for granted when you got them, but when you don't have 'em, it's a bitch.
